Cancellation/Refund Policies

ACEP24

Full conference registration, less the $200 cancellation fee, is refundable only if submitted in writing to Member Care 30 days prior to the beginning of the conference. Registrations and cancellations received after the 30-day deadline are not refundable. All lab cancellations received after 30 days will not be refunded. Exceptions will be made for family emergencies and must be submitted in writing to Member Care. For these instances, the full conference registration fee, less the $200 cancellation fee, will be refunded. You cannot reinstate a registration after you cancel. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 30 days. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type. Cash payments will be refunded by check.

ACEP24 Exhibits Program

Notification of an Exhibitor’s decision to cancel or reduce exhibit space must be submitted in writing. The effective date of a space cancellation or reduction will be the date when written notice is received by ACEP.

  • Written notification of a reduction or space cancellation must be received on or before Friday, May 31. The following cancellation penalties schedule will apply:
    • Cancel prior to January 30, 2024 – 25% penalty fee
    • Cancel between January 30 – May 31 – 50% penalty fee
    • After May 31, 2024, the Exhibitor will remain liable for the full cost of the original exhibit space.

At the time ACEP receives written notice that an Exhibitor is canceling its space, all function space (including hospitality suites) held by that Exhibitor will be cancelled. Any booth in the exhibit hall which is unoccupied by 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, will be considered a no-show and may be assigned to another exhibitor unless ACEP Show Management has received written notice of extenuating circumstances. The Exhibitor shall be deemed to have cancelled the exhibit space contract. There will be no refund to the original Exhibitor and no obligation on the part of ACEP to relocate such Exhibitors. Additionally, Exhibitors that no-show will remain responsible for any balance that may be owed to ACEP.

ACEP Accelerate

Full conference registration, less the $200 cancellation fee, is refundable only if submitted in writing to ACEP Member Care 30 days prior to the beginning of the conference. Registrations and cancellations received after 30 days are not refundable. You cannot reinstate a registration after you cancel. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 30 days. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type. Cash payments will be refunded by check.

ACEP Accelerate Exhibits Program

Notice of cancellation must be received in writing no later than Friday, December 31, 2023. If an exhibitor cancels on or before December 31, a 50% cancellation fee will be assessed. No refunds will be issued after this date.

ACEP Anytime

Subscription products are not available for refunds as they are all-access and often offer CME credit.

ACEP Dues

ACEP dues are nonrefundable and are not deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. However, they may be tax-deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. Dues rates are subject to change based on chapter and national Board of Directors' actions.

ACEP ED Accreditation

The application fee is non-refundable.

ACEP SIM Training Course

Full conference registration, less the $200 cancellation fee, is refundable only if submitted in writing to Member Care on or 30 days prior to the beginning of the conference. Registrations and cancellations received after 30 days are not refundable. All lab cancellations received after 30 days will not be refunded. You cannot reinstate a registration after you cancel. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 30 days. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type. Cash payments will be refunded by check.

Bookstore

How to Return an Item to the ACEP Bookstore

We accept returns and provide refunds only if our return policy is followed. We must receive the item(s) within 30 days of the shipping date. The item must be in new, salable condition.

ACEP's steps to return an item are listed below.

  • Call the ACEP Bookstore at 844-381-0911.
  • Tell the representative what you want to return and why. You must provide the invoice or order number and type of payment used for the purchase.
  • The representative will give you a return authorization code, called an RMA number. Put this RMA number on the shipping label, with the address as follows:

  • Pack the item carefully to prevent damage, and ship it back to us.
  • It must arrive at ACEP within 30 days of the original shipping date of your order.
  • It must be in new, salable condition.
  • If we accept the return, we will deduct a 35% restocking fee from your refund at our discretion.
  • If you return an item to us without an RMA number, after the 30-day deadline, or damaged, ACEP will return it to you without issuing a refund.

Clinical Emergency Date Registry (CEDR)

Please review your organization’s CEDR contract for terms and conditions.

Clinical Ultrasound Accreditation

The application fee is non-refundable.

CME Applications

ACEP accreditation fees are due at the time of application submission and are non-refundable.

Critical Decisions in Emergency Medicine

All Critical Decisions in Emergency Medicine subscriptions are ineligible for refunds, as they provide immediate access to all Critical Decisions content and offer CME credits up-front. Subscription end dates cannot be extended for nonuse.

Emergency Department Directors Academy, Phases I, II and III.

Live Event

Full conference registration, less the $200 cancellation fee, is refundable only if submitted in writing to ACEP Member care 30 days prior to the beginning of the conference. Registrations and cancellations received after 30 days are not refundable. You cannot reinstate a registration after you cancel. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 30 days. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type. Cash payments will be refunded by check.

If you select to transfer your registration to another offering of EDDA, you will still incur the $200 cancellation fee. This course is limited and by registering for the course, you are reserving your spot and potentially limiting the space for another attendee.

Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation

The application fee is non-refundable.

Independent EM Masters Class

Full conference registration, less the $200 cancellation fee, is refundable only if submitted in writing to Member Care on or 30 days prior to the beginning of the conference. Registrations and cancellations received after 30 days are not refundable. All lab cancellations received after 30 days will not be refunded. You cannot reinstate a registration after you cancel. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 30 days. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type. Cash payments will be refunded by check.

Leadership & Advocacy

Full conference registration, less the $75 cancellation fee, is refundable only if submitted in writing to meetingregistrar@acep.org 30 days prior to the beginning of the conference. Registrations and cancellations received after the 30-day deadline are not refundable. Exceptions will be made for family emergencies and must be submitted in writing to meetingregistrar@acep.org. For these instances, the full conference registration fee, less the $75 admin fee, will be refunded. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 30 days. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type. Cash payments will be refunded by check.

Mailing Labels

Prior to dissemination of list by ACEP – payment will be refunded less a $150 fee; $200 fee if application was processed as a rush order.

After dissemination of list by ACEP, payment in full is required; no refund will be processed.

Online Learning Center

All transactions for digital products, pdf downloads, resource material, and other online content are not eligible for a refund once purchased. Please reach out to Member Care Center if you experience any issues with access to the content for support.

Pain and Addiction Care in the ED Accreditation

The application fee is non-refundable.

PEER Products

PEERcert+

All transactions for PEERcert+ products are ineligible for a refund once purchased. Subscription end dates for PEERcert+ products cannot be extended for nonuse. PEERcert+ products do not currently offer a money-back guarantee if you don’t pass your board exam.

PEERPrep for Physicians

If you buy a PEERprep for Physicians subscription to study for the Qualifying exam and use it to study but don't pass your initial board exam, ACEP will refund your money or give you another subscription of PEERprep for Physicians for free equal to the same subscription length purchased. The PEERprep for Physicians subscription must have been purchased and used for at least 90 days prior to the Qualifying exam to be eligible for the money-back guarantee. PEERprep for Physicians is otherwise ineligible for a refund once purchased, and subscription end dates cannot be extended for nonuse.

Reimbursement & Coding Conference (ACEP Accelerate)

Full conference registration, less the $200 cancellation fee, is refundable only if submitted in writing to meetingregistrar@acep.org 30 days prior to the beginning of the conference. Registrations and cancellations received after the 30-day deadline are not refundable. Exceptions will be made for family emergencies and must be submitted in writing to meetingregistrar@acep.org. For these instances the full conference registration fee, less the $200 admin fee, will be refunded. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 30 days.
